I'm mid-30's and my skin always feels dry at the end of the day and in need of a bit of moisture but the night creams I've tried have turned my skin into an oil slick by morning.

If you're a bit of a combo / greasy type have you used anything good?

I have pores like craters too.. Yummo.

Alpha H liquid gold will sort your pores out. I quite like Clinique dramatically different gel, but have recently started using Clarins lotus facial oil, for oily skin, and so far so good. I use about four drops every night and it soaks right in and leaves my skin feeling loves and smooth and soft, not greasy.

Lovely, not loves.

Hi Sockspence
I think the Liz Earle range is the best stuff I've ever used. The cleanse and polish cleanser comes with a muslin cloth and is great for gentle exfoliating. There is also a toner, which is really lovely smelling. The best bit for me is the Skin Repair Light moisturiser. Really good and the only thing I've found that I can use all over my face including on my eyes that doesn't irritate or make me feel really greasy after I've put it on or in the morning after using it at night.

QVC, John Lewis stock it and you can also get it from Lizearle.com.
HTH.

Thanks! I keep hearing good things about liz Earle. The QVC-only thing always put me off tbh but I might mosey along to JL for a look.

Quinn we are skinCare twins! Do you use Clarins oil on top of alpha h - thought you weren't supposed to dilute it with anything else.
Clarins lotus oil gets a bug thumbs up from me

Sorry. should have said there are 3 versions of the skin repair for different skin types. One for dry sensitive, one for normal combination and the other is an even lighter one which I use called skin repair light. If you have dry skin I'd go for the normal/combination one and see how you go. I used to use that one and found that it really helped with my big crater pores and also helped control my shiny t-zone.
I know what you mean about QVC but if you buy it from them and find that it doesn't suit you, you can send it back for a full refund. The only bit you don't get back is the P&P but it's cheaper than a whole bottle that doesn't work for you sitting in the back of a cupboard. I think they sell alot of tat but are great for trying new skincare as it can be so hit and miss.

Liz Earle stuff made me break out in spots badly, I'm afraid.

Sometimes I do use the oil on top of the Alpha H, I think you can if you feel you need to, it's just the results aren't as good. Depends on how my skin is feeling.

I have given up wearing cream at night , cos I usually wake up with a spot.

I do put eyecream on cos I am decrepit ,and also use it on dry bits of my face but never all over
