All synthetic boots ..??

Is this a bad idea? I mean synthetic lining, sole, the works.

I love these and can't find anything quite like them in leather:

harness boots

dressage boots

Dunno - but I bought some ankle boots from M&S to wear through winter -and they are synthetic. I didn't deliberately buy them for that reason, but they looked nice and fit well. Oh, and they were quite cheap -as a bonus.

I wear them a lot -sometimes don't even wear socks ( yukky I know) but they don't smell and don't make my feet sweaty..

Ew no. I have long leather boots that for some reason they put a synthetic lining in, just on the top half, they make my legs horribly sweaty at that part.

Mm good point trix, as I did have knee length boots with a satin lining and remember getting very sweaty. I DID wear them to death however as they were very comfortable and looked good.
Sounds like you found a bargain super - I guess ankle boots wouldn't get as sweaty tho?

I agree, ankle boots wouldn't be as sweaty. I wore my boots to death too, but I will never buy long boots with any synthetic material again. I guess it depends how much it would bother you. I hate how many boots are synthetic these days, I have quite often seen lovely ones but not bought as they were synthetic.

supernannyisace · 11/03/2012 12:03

mmm.. I guess if they were knee length - then it could all get a bit hot and bothered up the leg area.

It's spring now isn't it? Get some sandals instead Grin

I got some long synthetic boots from Amazon and they're fab. I got them as they're waterproof but they look good too.

CuriousMama · 11/03/2012 12:18

These are them

tethersend · 11/03/2012 12:19

I wouldn't.

These are leather, similar and £65. You may have to log in to see them, but worth it- they have loads of reduced boots.

Unfortunately not spring where I am super Smile

Lovely boots tether.

I wonder whether the lining material is the real issue?
