Thank you to MrsMartin - I had never heard of it before. I can't normally do a manicure at home as the polish smudges the minute I move. But this stuff is brilliant!

It is very good.

Has been recommended on here for years.

ahhhhhpushit · 10/03/2012 18:18

Mine arrived today!!

theseventhdwarf · 10/03/2012 21:40

Maybe I need this? What does it do? Can someone explain please?

monkeysmama · 10/03/2012 21:44

I've been using it for years too and really like it. I only do my toes every few weeks in summer and it makes the colour last and last still looming all glossy.

monkeysmama · 10/03/2012 21:44

It's a top coat. Thicker than the normal stuff.

knitknack · 10/03/2012 21:46

It doesn't work for me :( It actually makes my polish peel off (in big sheets) more quickly than without!! Very upsetting. I'm currently using sally hansen's topcoat on the advice of my gorgeous MIL and it's blummin' brilliant! Does what I was expecting SV to do :)

I might starting using the SV on my toes now it's warming up, maybe it'll work better on them < hopeful >

OlympicEater · 10/03/2012 22:39

knitknack I forked out for some after people raving about it and I get the peeling too Sad

otchayaniye · 11/03/2012 07:29

There are quite a few seche vite type products, I have a Posche one, which I think is slightly better, but it's hard to get here. But yes, it's a great too coat

otchayaniye · 11/03/2012 07:31

To the peelers, are you allowing it to pool onto the cuticle? Because it will peel easily.

And are you applying polish to a keyed surface?

wools · 11/03/2012 07:35

I love Seche vite but agree with Knitnack that Sally Hansen is just as good and much cheaper as well as easier to find in Boots, Superdrug etc.

monkeysmama · 11/03/2012 07:53

With Seche Vite application is so important. I use a SV base coat too but you have to apply top coat gently all over nail edges to stop it peeling off.

Lol at Campbell black

pigsmightnevercease · 11/03/2012 09:03

I recently got the Nails Inc Kensington Caviar topcoat (as recommended on here) and did my nails last night. It is brilliant Shock Can't stop looking at them.

I'm a terrible smudger as well, but this was dry within a minute, and the finish is amazing, kind of like Shellac. And it's filled in all the bumps and ridges I got from a Shellac manicure before Christmas.

Thanks S&B for another life-changing product recommendation :)

Has it really MrsCB? Yes, I think it has....

Wink

I use a Chanel top coat which is very good.
