Gift for goddaughter

My friend is having all 3 children (and DH) baptised at the same time. I will be godmother to her 5year old (nearly 6) girl. Any suggestions for a gift. I have searched around here and lots of people recommend bible but they are not religious so I don't think a bible would work

Gift wise, I'd go with a Pandora bracelet or similar.
But seriously, four members of the family to be baptised on the same day by non religious people? This is a joke, isn't it? Out, out, damn troll!

What's your budget?

My daughter was given jewellery, silver bangles, a gorgeous silver heart pendant and also a Links of London charm bracelet with 1 charm, then her godmother will add to it every year - thought that was a really nice idea..

I usually give boxed sets of books like this or this. Like the idea of a charm bracelet though - saves worrying what to buy for birthday presents in future years Grin

My daughter was given a beautiful leather bound copy of cinderella,on the inside cover her godmother had written in it telling her how honoured she was about being her own "fairy godmother",
Thought that was quite sweet.

What about an antique like silver mirror and comb/ brush set (this is s n b after allGrin)
Or one of those pretty wooden old style jewellery boxes?

Depending on what your budget is, a nice piece of personalised furniture is something that will be really useful for their bedroom and something that lasts for ever as a reminder of their god parent. I still use my small childrens chair for putting books on and I am in my mid 30's! There are lots of companies that make personalised childrens furniture, some are better quality than others! One company I have used recently is The Little Ark. Very good quality and all handmade and handpainted in the UK etc. Failing that, I always find Gift Wrapped and Gorgeous a good site for original presents or even Not on the High street. All of those three sites have an excellent range of gifts for most budgets. You can google them or try:

Good luck!
