Removing Jessica GELeration nails

justlemonade · 08/03/2012 19:31

I had a set of Jessica nails done about 2.5 weeks ago. They're ready to take off now but don't think I can go back to the salon until next week.

Is there any way of removing them at home myself?

From my experience you can just peel them off!? I always loved doing that as it was kinda satisfying Blush
Or I think when they do it at salons they wrap them in cotton wool soaked in nail polish remover I think? Maybe someone else more knowledgable will help you more! Grin

soak cotton wool in nail polish remover, wrap around nail using strips of tin foil to hold it in place. Leave for five to ten minutes. Scrape off with a cuticle pusher.

Don't pick them off! I do that and it wrecks my nails. Acetone is what you need and follow what quinn said

Use the nail polish remover but be careful and I would use something like the Jessica Nails Life Jacket to make sure they don't go brittle. I bought mine from www.simplylifestyle.net/jessica-nails-life-jacket-1

Get a coarse nail file and scuff the colour away first. The get cotton wool and soak with acetone, wrap finger in cotton wool and then tin foil. Leave for 10-15 minutes and scrape off with orange stick.

DO NOT pick off!

Lots of hand cream and oil as the acetone is very drying.
