Ball gown size 20

Hi, I am in the process of losing weight (1.5 stones down, 4.5 to go). I have a charity ball coming up with people I don't know very well. I'd rather not spend a fortune due to the losing weight thing.

I need a ball gown that would preferably allow me to wear a decent bra (size 38 H) and all the ones I've looked at on eBay are strapless. Can anyone help please?

That is beautiful but think it won't cover my bust properly! Also a bit more than I was willing to spend. I did think about selling it on eBay afterwards but they don't go for much at all! If I wasn't still losing weight I would pay that! Thank you for looking.

This is gorgeous. Biggest is 16-18 but review says its quite big.

Have you thought about hiring one? A friend of mine used to run a hire place, kept loads of sizes and could make temporary adjustments so they fitted perfectly.

Am looking for a dress hire near, but distinct lack of info on their websites. Thinking of ordering both asos and very dresses. Need to look at the returns info first. Do you not need a pouffy out skirt for a ball?

I would've thought any long glam dress would be okay.

I love the Very dress! There are some great silver clutches on ebay for a tenner (I know because I got one) which would look great with it. IMO big puffy skirts are very dated, even for a ball
