Moisturiser help please

I'm trying to decide on a new moisturiser and am getting myself all confused!

I had previously tried an Aveda tourmaline cream - I decided to spend what I thought was quite a lot of money but it sent my skin in to a rash and was really sore.

So now I'm in a bit of a quandry what to try next- Clarins seems to get good reviews but maybe it's a bit harsh? The Olay three point range also seems to get reviews but of course I can't test it first so not sure how my skin would react.

My skin is starting to feel old, lacking in plumpness and all round a bit dull. I've never experienced a reaction to any creams before but then I usually just buy something fairly cheap and cheerful.

I'm a complete skin care novice but forty is staring me in the face (as are the wrinkles) so I think I need to start taking it a bit more seriously.

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated. Smile

I got Marie Claire today and I love the cream! Not too heavy, and the smell is beautiful!

If you didn't find that rich enough crikey,I don't reckon you'd find the Olay fluid or Boots vit E cream any good for you.

Happy experimenting though!

Oh and I got a refund from the Aveda cream so that's good news. Smile

Elemis Pro Collegen Marine Cream has been my weapon of choice for quite a few years now. I am 40 [ sigh ] and have no lines or wrinkles at all. I put it down, in part, to this stuff.

Crikeybadger, I too have been investigating moisturisers. I have dry skin, which was tight and sore. I'd been using a Boots cream, can't remember which one, but a poster on here recommended I re-visit Elemis, which I've used before. I got the pro collagen marine day and night cream set from QVC, and also treated myself to the Decleor Neroli and Iris Aromessence oils (think it was mrsmartin who recommended those). Cheapest place I found them was cheapsmells.co.uk. My skin is vastly improved, so do check out Elemis if Clarins doesn't work.

I tried the Clarins free sachet of anti wrinkle stuff that was also in Marie Claire today. It was lovely - I had to keep feeling my face as it felt so soft!!!
