Which hurts less, and which is more effective please? Am asking for DD, who wants to get her top lip done.

Cheers m'dears. Grin

I've had both done on chin and jawline. The electrolysis did not work at all even though I had multiple sessions. The IPL worked well and lasted a couple of years. Neither hurt much but I know from a friend that IPL hurt her loads on her upper lip. She could not continue the treatment.

So the hair grew back with IPL? Blast. :(

Is there any other method that's considered permanent?

I had laser hair removal on my bikini line and underarms a few years ago.

It is quite sparse, but there is regrowth - so I would say that isn't actually 'permanent'. The official line is 'long term hair reduction' I believe.

Cost quite a bit over the months - but it is worth it.

I would recommend that your daughter has the IPL - it may grow back eventually but will take time.

Oh, and it only hurts a bit...Wink

Thank you, can I ask if the hair has grown back the same, or finer?
