Help with tomorrow nights outfit please!

Couple of questions

I'm out with work people tomorrow night, and gone for a 40's/pin-up look. Would it be ok to wear black fishnets with open-toed shoes for this look?

Also, my boss has mentioned that she might wear a red two-piece, should I let her know in advance that my outfit is red too?

I can't stand any tights on open toed shoes but that's just me.i think its quite an authentic look though. you can get toeless tights I think but god knows where.
If you speak to your boss and she says something like " but I was really looking fwd to being the only one in red" it might mess up your amazing sounding outfit plans!
