Help with hair that never feels clean please!

Arggggggggghhhhhhhhh! My hair never feels clean atm, I have never had this problem before, it's driving me mad. I have thick, dry hair and no matter how much I rinse it never feels clean once I have dried it, it feels sort of tacky. I usually wash it ever 3 or 4 days but at the moment I feel like washing it every day.

Is it product build up? If it is how do I get rid of it?

What are SLSs and why are they to be avoided in shampoos? Should I look for a shampoo without them? Would this help?

Tia :)

deep cleaning shampoo. product/silicone build up.

Try Paul Mitchell number 2 shampoo - I was recommended it by my hairdresser, and use it once a week as my thick, wavy hair was starting to get weighed down by the John Frieda shampoo and conditioner I was using (and still use). Makes your hair feel very clean, although I do condition it straight after.

I have bought Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo, it deep cleanses and hair is super squeaky clean after.

It is probably product/silicone build up.

Ok thanks, will look out for it. Is it in Boots do you know?

Change your shampoo, and give it a blast with a cleansing shampoo, any half decent one will do. And wash your hair twice.

My hair does this sometimes, its like it builds up a defense to the shampoo after a while, so I swap every few months.

no valium from hair salons or buy online.

You can buy cleansing shampoos from boots too. Smile

Thank you :)

I ended up getting some Naked shampoo from Boots in desperation and it's done the job really well - can't believe the difference! Will order some PM shampoo online too and compare Grin

I like Paul Mitchell No 2 as well.

The only thing that keeps my hair feeling clean is dry and ghd it.
