Boden flowerburst heels

Boden's flowerburst heels in pink are The PERFECT shoe I've been searching for to go with a dress I'm wearing to a wedding in April. But they're showing as not available :( in any colour, any size :( does anyone know how quickly Boden tends to restock? Is there any chance of me getting some for mid April or should I give up all hope and find some other shoes? :(

The show all available to me

Showing as available in every size and colour here too. But, they aren't very nice and are very, very expensive for what they are. I'd expect more for that price.

M1ssBerta · 02/03/2012 08:37

I think you'd find nicer at Irregular Choice, or similar.

DeeDee1977 · 02/03/2012 08:39

Oh no, not those (yuck!), these: flowerburst heels

Why don't you ring them?

I have ordered stuff that has been shown as having several weeks wait (13+) and have had it in a few days - maybe I got a return, I don't know.

But then, these are showing as "out of stock" rather than with a big wait. Maybe they havn't actually had their stock in yet - they are not that nice, I can't believe that they have sold out of every colour in every size so early in the season.

Pascha · 02/03/2012 08:48

They show as in stock in all sizes to me.

DeeDee1977 · 02/03/2012 08:51

HUH? I've just refreshed the page and now they're available in all sizes and colours AND on sale??! Wooo!

£84, though? Sweet Jesus.

HettyKett · 02/03/2012 09:00

I'm sorry but they are truly ugly. Even worse than the wrong pair pp linked to. There is a reason that they've been reduced as soon as they have them in stock. Of course, if you love them go for it.

What is your dress like? Nude shoes might be a good solution and you'd be able to wear them again too.

Pascha · 02/03/2012 09:02

I quite like them in the navy. The pink's a bit woah there for me. I would only ever wear them once probably though, so yeah, a bit pricey for that (by about 60 quid)

WipsGlitter · 02/03/2012 09:04

I agree, Boden shoes are wayyyyyy too expensive (as is much of their stuff). Don't like either of these pairs, sorry. Kitten heels are neither here nor there, particularly with a dress. Remember Nancy who married Paul McCartney - amazing dress spoilt by kitten heel shoes.

DeeDee1977 · 02/03/2012 09:06

:) I do love them, and have just ordered them! Went for the navy though, because I just got the dress out - which is from Karen Millen and is pink, blue and white - and the pink in the dress is different to the pink of the shoe, but the navy will work well.

Only for peeps with very pretty feet!

Sneezeblossom · 02/03/2012 18:30

Horrible. This thread has a whiff of bodenboy about it.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/03/2012 18:51

what do you mean, sneezeblossom?

DeeDee1977 · 02/03/2012 19:21

What is bodenboy? I realise not everyone likes the shoes :) but life would be boring if we all liked the same things! I wavered on the price too but they look like they're well made, and good quality. I'm also happy about the kitten heels. I'm a mum of a 1yo and I haven't worn heels for a year basically so I wanted some going out shoes that weren't skyscraper high, I just wouldn't be able to walk in them!

Bodenboy was when Johnnie a boden employee came on mumsnet a couple of years ago before sale time, and then we nagged him until he begged for mercy and ran away.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/03/2012 20:56

well yes, but DeeDee has been here for ages, and doesn't engage in ye olde viral marketeering

There are HEAPS of threads about Boden, why decide this one is not for real?

DeeDee, they are v pretty shoes and I am full of envy - I couldn't get me old horned hoofs into ANYTHING strappy nowadays. Ho hum.

DeeDee1977 · 02/03/2012 21:10

To be honest, my feet will need a lot bit of work before I can wear them! About a week of foot filing, and I'm trying out Vicks on one of my toenails as suggested by someone on here as it's all flakey and thick and GRIM. Then I need to think about fake tanning my milk-bottle legs, and doing something about all the bruises on my shins from clattering around on the floor all day with my DD. l

I recc Ped Egg and Flexitol cream for the moment, get a prof pedicure (not a beautician but a podiatrist) nearer the time

DeeDee1977 · 02/03/2012 21:24

Thanks for the tip. My sister once lost a big toenail playing sport, and fashioned a fake one out of Sellotape, painted it the same as her other toes. At the time I thought she was mad, now I'm seriously considering doing the same thing!

navy is def the best choice, the pink ones look odd. i reckon the navy would look nice with skinny jeans
