Primer disaster

Hi, after getting loads of great tips on the groomed thread (and spending a blimmin fortune on goodies) I have tried primer for the first time today and my make up slid off quicker than normal! How should I be applying it, please?

You apply it like your foundation and let it dry. I put mine on before I dry my hair so it has at least 15 mins before I put foundation on.

I wear Laura Mercier.

What one was it? Did you let in dry?

I have bare essentuals one and you need to leave it to dry if you slap it on then put make up on, it slides off.

Or maybe it's a rubbish one

It is loreal studio secrets I think, and no I didn't pause for breath before excitedly slapping on foundation! Thanks for your help, will try again tomorrow :)
