Have just put on this dress from Monsoon: www.monsoon.co.uk/yasmin-dress/invt/15339003/

Without red belt but with apple green cardi - would you wear this to work. Am having moment of doubt in spite of its being listed as a day dress. Does black dress always look evening-ish?

I think that would be fine. I often wear black shift dresses for work, usually with a black jacket over,as I'm a lawyer and have to look boring conservative.

that dress with your green cardi would look v nice, I think Smile

yes, it's vair nice. Where are you getting your apple green cardi from?

Definately, Black/Navy dresses are my work wardrobe staple. Nice shape too, I love a long sleeve!

I have something very similar. I wear it to work all the time. The joy of black is that you don't have to restrict yourself to a green cardi. It would look equally good with blue, or purple, or yellow, or red, or whatever you happen to have clean in your wardrobe.

I am a black dress for work gal. Love this one, 50's full skirt would be lovely to twirl around in (while no one is watching). Am wondering if I could slip this through the joint a/c...

The green cardi was from about three years ago and also Monsoon. A colleague complimented me on the colour. I don't know about any of you but I have a horror of nightclub and beach clothes in the office. First time I've ever been in any doubt!
