..... For a proper, tradtional pretty girls dress for my DD, 2.5yo. Over Easter weekend we are celebrating my Grampies 80th birthday, and want to get her a dress with either long sleeves or matching cardie to wear. DS' are sorted but can't find anything I love for DD. Have tried Tulip and Nettle, Sarah Lousie and Mayoral. Any help very much appreciated!

Presume you've looked in Monsoon?

latrucha · 28/02/2012 20:51

jojo maman bebe?

BillyBollyBandy · 28/02/2012 20:55

monsoon

laura ashley

John Lewis very traditional

Either if the first 2 would go with a woollen shrug I think

Onlyaphase · 28/02/2012 20:55

I love gorgeous?

trixymalixy · 28/02/2012 20:56

John Lewis?

bigbadbarry · 28/02/2012 20:57

Mothercare (whose doors I never usually darken) are actually not bad for that sort of thing.

PastGrace · 28/02/2012 21:01

Monsoon
Monsoon no cardi
John Lewis
Laura Ashley

Monsoon and Laura Ashley have lots of little shrugs in too.

Inthepotty · 28/02/2012 21:01

Sorry x-posts with Billy. great minds!

Inthepotty · 28/02/2012 21:03

Like the monsoon blue one, think may need a 3-4 in there though as I find monsoon sizes petite

Loveleopardprint · 28/02/2012 21:11

Try trotters.co.uk
They have shops on kings road and high street ken in London. Do lovely traditional dresses with smoking etc

donttellmeoff · 28/02/2012 21:14

NO you need Tulip And Nettle

It is GORGEOUS. Another Mumsnetter put me onto it and I love it.

trixymalixy · 28/02/2012 21:24

Those poppy dresses are beautiful!

latrucha · 28/02/2012 21:25

[LaTrucha sighs for the days when DD would let me put her in whatever I wanted]

LikeAnAdventCandleButNotQuite · 28/02/2012 21:26

this would be gorgeous with a little white cotton bolero over the top, almost Eastery

same with this one too

MistyB · 28/02/2012 21:27

Try Chateaux de Sables

Loveleopardprint · 28/02/2012 22:34

Quality is always brilliant. Lovely materials and usually beautifully lined. I would say they are quite true to size. They often have hair accessories which match the dresses too. Lots of the little European girls wear these dresses in Chelsea

anniewoo · 28/02/2012 23:16

Did you try Zara

Inthepotty · 29/02/2012 11:29

See, I thought the blue sundress from trotters was the winner but I'm loving the 'poppy' links. Thanks S&B ladies, I might pop back over here more often, you're fab with the links!
