How can I decide whether to get a fringe cut?

Does certain hair look better with a fridge? Mines quite fine.

Am I too old for a fringe (I'm mid 40s but youthful, or so I think Smile)?
Will the hairdresser be able to clip it up somehow for me to see what I'll look like?

TIA

There is (or was a while ago) a website out there which, if you upload a pic of yourself will try out different hairstyles and colours so you can see what you might look like, including with/without a fringe. I really have no idea what its called but somebody else may know or you can try to google it.

if your hair is long enough you can bring a section forward from your crown and clip it to get an idea of what it would look like

no reason why you can't have a fringe in your 40s but get an opinion from your hairdresser :)

thanks guys. I think a trip to the salon then. I'll have a search for that website in the meantime.

Hi, this seems to be quite a good one, some of the others do slighly weird things with your photos! www.ivillage.com/makeover

thanks fried sprout. Unfortunately it seems I don't have any photos of myself that work. I'll try the hairdressers tomorrow instead. I've got a feeling they might actually have a similar computer gizmo.
