those with leather biker jackets do you ever wear it zipped up?

i'm about to order a jacket the smaller size felt a bit tight across the tummy when zipped up but the bigger size was too baggy in the boob area. I can't decide if i'm likely to wear it zipped up, but i guess its meant to have a fitted look. how do you wear yours?

I never zip mine up. I'd go for the smaller one.

Yes but then I have it for riding so I have to! It depends, have you seen any others that might be a better fit all round?

I have a biker style jacket which I don't zip up because it squishes my boobs and looks weird, and an actual biker jacket, which I had to get in a bigger size so that I could wear it zipped up for riding.

OP - It's been years since I wore a bikers jacket (still have it hanging up in my wardrobe as a testament to lost youth) but I never did it up. Ever.

One of my favourite jackets is n approx 10 year old M & S (believe it or not) black leather biker style jacket. I have never seen another one like it ( so I don't know what happened there and lots of people ask where I got my jacket) I'm not an M & S fan, nor a biker jacket fan - but I love this jacket - and I do wear it zipped up a lot.

I have one and I rarely zip it up - sometimes I do it halfway IYSWIM. IMHO I think biker jackets look best on the smaller side.

But then, I don't have boobs! Not very helpful, sorry!

Go small and wear open. It's about the 'look'. Unless you're a biker. Mine are size 8 and 10 and I'm at least a 12. I apply this same principle to cardigans to stop them looking baggy and flappy.

Yes, go smaller and keep it open. I zip mine up v occasionally (because it makes my waist look tiny) but more often leave it open.

never wear mine done up. ever...

I zipped mine up when I bought it - age 19 - as it was a safety thing
for many years was too fat to do it up
am now able to do it up again

bike jackets are either fashion twaddle or safety wear

Oh mine is fashion twaddle: nothing on this earth would get me on a motor bike.

Mine is both actually. It's a proper job jacket from about 1980 which is the same age as the bloody bike and however safe it is, it still looks hot.

Well yes, that would figure. I see your open jacket at 80 and I raise you an open face helmet at 180.

Nope, ever zip mine up, just wear a massive scarf to keep me a bit warmer. I'm looking for a new one at the moment though as mine is looking a bit tatty, any links would be appreciated

I sometimes zip mine up halfway with a scarf. Mostly open, though.
