Eye Advice Needed!

Hi ladies! I rarely venture into S+B but I could do with some advice. I've had a shocking week, and between lack of sleep and constant crying my eyes look like shit. I have to be an engagement party in 2 hours- what can I do? I don't have any special eye products and I don't have cucumber!

Cold flannel/compress in a dark room for at least 30 mins - see how they look then
Have you got touche eclat or similar type of concealer?
Got any courgettes?
Cold teabags work a treat too
Sorry about the crappy week Sad

All I can think of in such a short timeframe is old teabags, put them in the fridge for a bit to cool down. Or isn't cucumber supposed to be good? Sorry not more help

abbierhodes · 25/02/2012 18:04

Ooh, I do have touche eclait, that shouldd help! I've slathered them in a thick body lotion at the moment (underneath) and will try the teabag thing if there's time!

Thank you both!

bugger...sorry I didn't see this sooner. Sorry for the crappy time you are having too...

When I have been crying and need to get out of the house (happens more frequently than I would like) I stick 2 teaspoons in the freezer for 5 mins and soak two cotton wool pads with toner or liz earle eye bright and put the pads in the fridge. When the sppons and pads are cold I go and lie down, put a pad on each eye and then a soon over the top (curvy side down). The frozen spoons keep the pads cold and the toner is nourishing and refreshing at the same time. Five mins later the redness and the puffiness is all gone...just add a dab of your regular eye/face cream under each eye (very small amount - size of a grain of rice does both eyes) and no one needs to know. A flesh or pale pink eye pencil on the inner rim of the eye also works wonders.

Sorry it is probably too late but hopefully good to know for reference?

Thanks mrsmartin, that will be very useful for future reference!

I just piled on the make-up tonight and it seemed to work!

Thanks for all the good wishes too- sadly we've been told this week that my grandfather is terminally ill- so the puffy eyes thing might be an ongoing problem for a while Sad
