OK so its mine and dp's 3rd anniversary, we are going out and I have literally nothing to wear because I have lost weight and haven't replaced old clothes but even then I had nothing nice! We are going to quite a nice restaurant so jeans are out (I live in jeans).

I want to wear something dressy, something dare I say it glamours!

I am a size 16 but an apple shape, I am open to skirts.

Budget is about £100 for the outfit.

Mumsnet work your magic Grin

(Sorry if it is a big ask)

dress

what about this? I'm same size, shap as you and it's feminine and flattering. If you buy it through Qhidco you will get 8% cashback too.

EBay? When I lost weight, I had a mammoth clear out of everything ill fitting, and most was in good nick. I flogged it all on there and made about £150/£200 which I then invested in clothes from the site in the right size and more up to date.

Otherwise, if you're not a fan of skirts and dresses (hence the living in jeans thing), how about a dressy top, with some wide leg black trousers, small heel and then some nice accessories? Works for me and I hate showing my legs!

We are going to a chain (I think), Dolce Vita. It's more I want to look good, I literally wear jeans and a t-shirt day in day out. I think It would amaze dp if I looked like a girl Grin (ps he met me in jeans so it's more for me than him IYSWIM) Smile

I find the Star by Julien Macdonald range at Debenhams really flattering... this maybe?
