If it sells then it's not wrong, it's just not to your taste.

Trills · 24/02/2012 13:21

See if the sale racks are full of them in a few months time.

TheBolter · 24/02/2012 13:21

No Trills, they're all wrong, and people that buy them (if any) are wrong too.

Those pink strides with the black 'cuffs' are monsterous!

margoandjerry · 24/02/2012 13:35

because they are trying to bring catwalk trends to the high st Confused. I have read several times this month in the sunday mags that:

  • pyjamas are in as a fashion look
  • floral trousers are in

That covers the first and third horror. Someone in merchandising has just watched London Fashion Week and said "Quick! we need some trousers that look like pyjamas or we are totally f***" and someone ran out and threw these together and some poor, delusional possibly slightly overweight or was that just me15 year old is going to go and spend her Saturday job money on it and then try and cut it on the dance floor that night Sad

GetOrfMoiiLand · 24/02/2012 13:45

Oh no I love the first trousers you have linked to. Blush And the third.

The last ones you have linked to look like something an old grandma would wear to bingo, and what the hell are those pink monstrosities which look as if they have been dipped in black paint? They are just going to make your legs look stumpy.

But I would seriously consider buying the first pair - they're lovely.

PastGrace · 24/02/2012 13:49

Does anyone else find their sizing incredibly erratic?

I also like the first pair, but would never ever have the guts to wear them...

switchtvoffdosomelessboring · 24/02/2012 13:52

granny net curtain see though skirt anyone

mrsmartin · 24/02/2012 14:02

I agree alot of the clothes are for the peaches geldof's and alexa chung's but they do have some great footwear...

like these lovely courts, and these, and these!! Grin

GetOrfMoiiLand · 24/02/2012 14:04

Good lord that skirt is revolting - I do like those black shoes though.

KristinaM · 24/02/2012 14:08

I love zara. Just not the particualr examples you have given. But print trousers are very on trend this season, i think they are fun for spring summer on the right person

Change from all the black that everyone in london seems to wear all the time

Dont be such an old grouch, bolter

GetOrfMoiiLand · 24/02/2012 14:11

I must say though, that those trousers are the kind of thing Iwould buy in a fit of love and then never, ever find any occasion where I could wear them.

Plus you would have to be stick thin to carry them off, really.

Trills · 24/02/2012 14:20

In Friends Rachel has a black miniskirt with a long skirt over it, where the long skirt has a massive split up the front.

MackerelOfFact · 24/02/2012 14:54

The first pair make her look like she has an enourmous diseased vulva. I feel I want to usher her in the direction of a bloody good gynaecologist.

orangina · 24/02/2012 15:11

They are all grim, you're right. Am still going to trot down the road to check out what they've got in now though, I need a new going out top.... Smile

southeastastra · 24/02/2012 15:15

the print in the op is everwhere, i got a similar topshop bomber jacket but didn't keep it

i think the stuff in there is fab atm and spend quiet alot in there Blush

springaroundthecorner · 24/02/2012 15:25

Mackerel Grin

Those first trousers are truely appalling. Can you imagine the comments most dp's would make about those?

I usually like Zara stuff a lot. I bought a trench the other day and I love it.

SootySweepandSue · 24/02/2012 15:27

I find their sizing doesn't suit curves. Have not shipped there in ages after becoming upset at my nottallandskinnyness.

southeastastra · 24/02/2012 15:30

i really really wanted \link{http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-S2012/189502/700603/ZEBRA%2BPRINT%2BBLAZER\this} but couldn't get the large to fit my fat back - am only usually a size 14 :(

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 24/02/2012 15:37

drool

anniewoo · 24/02/2012 20:58

Ah Zara again. Fantastic clothes but the sizingSadSadSadSad!

southeastastra · 24/02/2012 21:03

i don't get it, i have t-shirts in medium which fit me perfectly from the teenage range and their large shirts and tops usually fit me, jackets and coats are completely all over the place
