Job interview outfit

Have been told this week that I am going to be made redundant in the next few months, so will be applying for jobs and need an outfit for interviews. I'm also a recently single mum (been a good year!) so nothing too pricey. I am 5'9, size 14-16, red hair, big boobs, bit of a tummy. Would like something a bit different, don't want black suit, white shirt kind of outfit. A dress would be nice.

Any suggestions?

go for a nice wrap dress in a heavy jersey fabric with 3/4 length sleeves - smart, chic, fashionable and flattering (ie perfect interview wear). M&S, Hobbs, Wallis, Dorothy Perkins, Ebay outlets like House of Fraser etc are all likely to have them. Best of all - if your weight fluctuates they will still fit Grin

I thought about a wrap dress, would it not be a bit casual? Does that depend on the fabric/colour/print?

Depends on what sort of job. For an interview I usually dress as I would for an important meeting if I was already in that job, if that makes sense.

Yes I think so - block colours or abstract prints work well ime. You can always pop a jacket over it and the shoes make it more formal. I love these:

stripy dress - v slimming!
bright blue dress with pleated front - good for tum!
classic black wrap dress
spotty mock-wrap dress
