Come tell me about olive oil (other natural cheap oils) as cleansers and eye care?

I've been trawling through Style & Beauty but there are so many posts I thought it would be easier to start a new thread!

mid 30s, normal / slightly combination skin, mild spotty breakouts every now and again or when I'm on my period, large / open pores on nose and under bottom lip on chin.

Will olive oil be a good cleanser for me? Or is there any other suitable oil that is natural and cheap rather than buying make up / skin care brands with loads of chemicals and plasic products in them?

you could try a mix of sweet almond and jojoba, either way, buy online from Fushi or Amazon, make sure it's organic -
I find the above is oily enough to remove all make up/soften skin, but light enough to not leave you feeling greased up!

MissFoodie, how often do you oil cleanse if you don't mind me asking?

I clean mine with just olive oil and it is fine. When I started doing OCM I had more spots than it sounds like you have but they were all gone in a few days. best thing to do is try it and see!

OCM prob 2-3 times a week, but I do cleanse every night with either an oil based balm or creme cleanser (have too many products!)

If I had the choice, I would probably use an oil based balm every night though, if I was on a strict budget then just oil

Right, might impress dh again tonight with my seal impression Grin

thanks for posts

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Just google OCM and you'll get some really useful directions on how to do it properly. Don't forget to use the cold flannel at the end to close the pores.
