What dress size is equivalent to Levi's 30 inch waist jeans? UK 12?

I think a 29inch waist is a 12, certainly seems to be in my Levi curves. I would have thought 30 inch was a 14?

A levis 30 inch waist normally fits a 27-28 inch waist. Which then translates to different sizes in different brands (i.e. in Next for that means a size 8 or 10 depending on whether it is a top or bottom - and M&S it is a size 10 or 12).
Basically everyone is a different size in different brands!

Depends if the jeans mean that your actual waist is 30 inches, or if they mean that the waistband is 30 inches, or something else.

Thank you! These are Levi's Bold Curve W30 L32, so maybe they are a bit bigger than a 12. I am selling them on eBay for someone - may be safest just to give the W30 L32 info.

If you just give the info that is written inside the jeans that'd probably be safest.

When I were a lass, 28inch Levis meant UK size 12, so I'd expect a 30inch wearer to be a 14.

But given there is no objective sizing these days, it could be anything. And for vanity, I'd expect it now to be a 12 or less.

I wear a 27 waist demi curve and am a size 10, actual waist size exactly 27" - I'd put the 30 waist being a generous 12 or a tight 14. A 12 is usually a 29" waist, I think?
