work dresses

Help - I love to wear dresses for work but it's so hard to find anything appropriate. My office dress code is business casual and this year I also have to spend a lot of time at our headquarters where the dress code is business (suits and ties etc). I want something that would be appropriate without a jacket or blazer or without wearing an extra layer underneath.

And here is my first problem - most dresses are sleeveless. I need sleeves. I have the LK Bennett Davina for example, which is a great dress, but the sleeves are just too short.

I'm also 32FF. This rules out many dresses, most because I can't squeeze my top part in. or if I can, the cut is either unflatteringly high or too low with my cleavage on display, which is again not appropriate. (ps don't recommend Pepperberry, have tried, all too low cut and also too short)

Any ideas? Budget-wise I can be quite flexible.

oh and tethers, I actually have the Hobbs Burnstein already. It's very nice indeed, but when i first tried it, I got stuck in it! had to put an extra zipper in the side seam to get it on and off. Fits beautifully when it's on though, not too tight in any way Confused

I rate M&S dresses for work - and I'm a similar age to you. At least you can put them in the washer unlike Hobbs, LK Bennett etc.

A friend uses Bravissimo - they have clothes for those with boobs in mind.

*missed out the word designed

Mad, well they are now Pepperberry and have clothes for "people who want to have their boobs in everybody else's mind" Wink
Meaning the idea is excellent, but most of their dresses are so darn low cut. And sleeveless and too short. Luckily a lot of people have complained about this, so I'm hoping they might improve.

The blue Pepperberry dress I linked to is out of stock in lots of sizes already so assume they must have got the fit right with this one.

I got my Great Plains order today and sent it all back!

Crap quality and dreadful fit.

Yes, I ordered from Great Plains recently for the first time and sent it all back too. Wasn't impressed at all with the quality.
