I have weird little tufts of hair at my parting. Help!

Help!

I have naturally curly hair that I straighten. It is long except I have developed since pregnancy little short tufts at the front of my head. They make me look scruffy all the time. Does anyone know what they are, how I can get them to grow or any ways of smoothing them down other than permanently wearing a band?

Thanks :)

use either a hair oil or hairspray to smooth them down (spray the hairspray on your hands then smooth over hair). It is one of two things - either new hair or broken hair (most people who go ''oooh look at my baby hair'' are actually refering to hair that has broken off). Scalp massage stimulates hair folicles which in turn stimulates growth. If it is broken hair then you need to give your hair some TLC. Given that you must straighten it after every wash I think it might be that you have broken, rather than new, hair so make sure you are using a heat protective treatment before using straighteners and try something like the phillip kingsley elasticizer. Also, always brush your hair from bottom to top to minimise breakage.

I have this too - it's not hair that is broken, it's new hair that grows to a certain length and then falls out and is replaced, mine is much softer than the rest of my head. I'd just go with it, once you get used to it you stop 'seeing' it. DP says mine is endearing and likes to fluff it with his fingers Hmm

Incidentally, Kim Kardashian (I know, I know...) has the same thing and I think she had hers lasered or waxed off.

Thanks :)

The rest of my hair is fairly good condition but it could well be broken, I don't treat it very well Blush

Brushing from bottom to top took me a while to work out! I get what you mean now and will do it. Have ordered elasticised too.

Love the thought of waxing off but think I would have a very high hairline in that case...

Thanks both
