dingdong I love you for your shameless pugging of blogs. Ok, when it arrives - and provided I don't look like a bag lady - I will email you a picture of me in it!!
As I just said on another thread, bit disappointed by the summer preview stuff for women.

Yes, disappointing. They are getting a bit carried away at Boden. You can see how the more classic lines are selling out - like that striped tunic!

lol at shameless plugging...with the work that goes into it, I'd hate someone to miss out Grin Check out mine and drywhiteplease's Sat night outfits - just live on the blog
Oh, did I just plug the blog again...Blush Wink

Tho, on the Boden front, I've just noticed that the catalogue that was delivered this week is a bit more muted on the colour front to be fair to them. Just flicked through it and it looks mostly lovely. I'm more put off by the prices so will once again hold off until the sale - unless that tunic comes back in stock :)

drywhiteplease · 18/02/2012 16:22

Think with boden you have to tread carefully. I think they can look bit twee at times and instantly recogniseable (my border tunic oops)... Where I live (northern boden-ville)you can spot boden a mile off, and I have worn same top (the horror!) as another mum in p,aground. At times it is over priced and you can't see the garment in the catalogue clearly because of the irritating (Helga from Sweeden loves ice cream, kittens and the smell of freshly cut grass) model poses.
But over all it is good quality...but have to buy carefully.
( wd love to know how johnny is getting on with French market!)

Loving the Saturday night outfits. Spent the evening watching tv with dc. I'm saving my pennies for Rome next weekend.
Had a flick through the latest boden catalogue I was sent. Have you seen the stripe tunics in the johnnie b range? may give the navy a go if the pale blue is no good on me. Being so petite, johnnie b is sometimes a better option for me.

I wish I had seen those! I wd give it a go.look v similar to mine.depends on length but tbh teenagers are often taller than 5ft so you might be ok.

mrsebo do you have a blog? Worried have scared some poor unsuspecting blogger ?!

dingdong3 · 19/02/2012 09:44

Rome next weekend!!! Envy
I have to confess to having bought a knitted dress in the past from the kids range - age 13-14! It was a lovely fit but a bit distinctive and I lived in fear of meeting a 5 year old in the same one Grin
I think as long as you're not too big on top, they would be great - I'm off for a look now!! I would never wear any of these tunics as a dress because my bare legs would make children cry so I'm looking for something a bit shorter to wear as a long top. Thanks for the tip mrse and yes drywhite mrsebo has a blog. It's on my list of blogs I follow - Thrifty Times Smile

drywhiteplease · 19/02/2012 10:50

Ditto re legs ding added to the fact they are a pasty shade of blue/grey after winter hibernation!!!!!!

mrsebojones · 19/02/2012 18:48

Waves @ dingdong and drywhite on this fine Sunday evening
Yes, drywhite it is my blog!! I'm currently writing under the name of 'Her Thriftiness' www.herthriftiness.blogspot.com - I'm enjoying being a little bit creative and indulging my passion for fashion and it's an escape from the real life job which is very different Grin.
dingdong, I'm tiny, a minature little thing so a M in Johnnie B is generally a good fit on me. I'm definitely contemplating the navy tunic as the wait is so long on the womens range now. I do steer clear of the picture Ts and jumpers though as I don't want to be mistaken for a 12 year old. I was asked for ID when buying wine in Sainsburys the other week - I'm 35 ffs and he was a pimply 18 year old Wink.
Went to Cambridge today to get last minute bits for Rome - it's a girls only trip - 4 of us and we are super excited! Was seduced into buying a nice grey sweater for less that £20 in Gap and White Stuff Scarf in JL... I think I will do a post about scarves on my blog soon as I love them.
drywhite I'm also a prolific tweeter if you tweet... @dressed366

mrsebojonesSmile if I start tweeting dh will leave me! I have been giving him hard time about his(bloody) blackberry for years ( managed to run over it in a French supermarket car park last year, which, after my wedding day and births of 2 dcs,was one of the happiest days of my life!) but after he got me an iPad for Christmas I have developed serious mn and fashion blog/Internet shopping addiction so big double standards !if I add tweeting to that I may end up sad, lonely, well dresses woman in very dirty house! Grin

Please help me on my search for top thread!

dingdong3 · 19/02/2012 21:26

I feel pressure now drywhite....have put some humble suggestions on the other thread.
I got suspended from Twitter this week...Shock I've never been suspended from anything or anywhere. Apparently, one of my tweets was deemed to be spam like. I don't even properly know how to tweet! Not sure about keeping the profile on...all cross and huffy with them and I didn't get that many click-thru's anyway...

mrsebojones · 20/02/2012 18:32

drywhite I have been smiling all day about you running your husbands blackberry over!! dingdong outrageous about twitter considering some of the vile spam that DH and I both get and have to block.

Well, the tunics arrived and, for once, Johnnie b and his returns dept will be pleased to know it's a keeper!! I got the 8 ad the 10. While the 10 is more slouchy as I thought I wanted, I think I prefer the neater look of the 8 so will keep that. Looks good over my dark denim jeans and think I will also invest in some navy leggings for spring and wear with ballet pumps. The colour is nice and I can live with the iside trim as it's navy - I have a major aversion to Boden contrast trims!!

I'm still waiting for the arrival of the breton top and my red leather bag with navy strap. Whoever posted that 20% discount is to blame!!!!

So glad your tunic is a keeper. You'll have to blog about it now so we can see it! OR send me a headless pic?!
Am raging about Twitter....for a few days before I told everyone about it, I had nothing but porn stars with disgusting links as followers and then I get suspended for I don't know what?! What's worse is that they haven't contacted me at all so I've no idea if I've been hacked or not. If you get a chance mrseb, would you tweet the support team? Another MN'er has done that but along with two emails from me, it's not made any difference.

I'm amazed drywhite's DH didn't file for divorce! Not much worse you could do to my DH than run over his iPhone Grin

drywhiteplease · 20/02/2012 22:06

Perhaps I should get a t shirt printed with "blackberry murderer" on it, or " wives against blackberries"or "blackberries aren't indestructible" or "dh still loves me even though I killed his beloved blackberry"

Ideas please ....trying to find a blackberry pun somewhere!
