Free S&G mascara with Elle

Has anyone tried the mascara?

I can vaguely remember someone raving about it (maybe on here?) but I'm not entirely sure if it was the S&G one... My memory is shocking at the minute!

In my never ending quest for the ultimate mascara to make my piggy, stubby (albeit slightly less stubby since the constant application of rapid lash) lashes look long and fluttery will it be worth buying Elle?

it's ok, I find the actual wand HUGE though - for £4 its fine, would be annoyed if I'd paid £10 for it though

I hate it - worst mascara wand I have ever used. The brush is really lond and has a massive gap between the spirals (I don't mind thick and bushy a'la benefit bad gal). I buy elle anyway so I didn't lose out as such but I wouldn't even pay £2 for it.

i know, it's like the wand is designed for a horses lashes or something????

what about that new benefit mascara? they're real, or something?

it has had alot of good reviews on here but I haven't tried it personally.

I like no7 lash adapt mascara as a budget buy - it is really rather good for everyday use and is easily built up without clumping. My favourite is mally volumising mascara though - it is jet black (and stays black), really glossy and lasts forever without flaking etc (I have been very naughty and wore it for 3 days once - it looked exactly the same on day 3 as when I first applied it Shock). It is also the only mascara I have found that holds a curl in my eyelashes (I once had them professionally permed and they were straight again in 2 days!).

It's not great. I only tried it because I buy Elle anyway and wouldn't pay for it / won't use it again.

I use By Terry and it's brilliant. My lashes have never been so thick and kind of lush.

I just reviewed it in the cosmetics section.

Fine as a freebie, the mascara is good, but the wand is awful.
