Hi,

I'm about to move and have a walk in wardrobe planned in the room off our master bedroom.
So what would you have in yours? Anything essential/ waste of time?

I am going to mark my place on your thread (hope you don't mind!) as I will be having a walk in wardrobe built when we move house! I can't wait - I have always wanted one! Grin
I cant post much now as I am at work but I will be back later to add/share ideas & inspiration!

I have been looking at the Ikea PAX range for inspiration for fixtures and fittings.

My top priority will be shoe storage too!!!! Grin

i took this book out from the library

www.amazon.co.uk/Practical-Princess-Perfect-Wardrobe-Declutter/dp/1849751145

all about how to store clothes -- could be helpful for walk in closet. Not helpful for much else.

I refuse to help. I am far to envious!

The following work well for me;

Full length hanging (dress/coats)
Half hanging (skirts, trousers, tops, jackets)
Shoe cupboards (I have backlit shoe shelves for displaying my favorite pairs)
Shelves for handbags
Shelves for anything that can be folded - knitwear, t shirts, jeans etc
I have some Ikea things for scarves.

I also keep all my jewellery in my dressing room and have it hanging up on hooks so that it doesn't tangle and I can see what I have.

Nope...grrrrr

Holes for boxes for socks hats scarves and any shit you want to hide. Buy those felt covered hangers ( tk max). They really do work.

If you go to ikea and look at the sizing of the soft storage boxes and size shelves accordingly. I have our towels in covered boxes that slide in the hatbox shelves.

Pm me if you need to know more. I designed my own sent a cutting list to a company told them what wanted edging etc
