Could you show me your favourites please?

Don't want fabric, needs to be leather or suede......could do pony at a push but it does rather give me the boak........I guess it would be far enough away from my face to be doable.......Grin

I bought a great pair from Aldo, they're fab .. calf hair tho..

cardoon · 13/02/2012 18:25

ooh! they are just the look I like...not too much in the way of buttons n' bows!

comfy? true to size would you say? much toe cleavage?

OP posts:
madammecholet · 13/02/2012 18:51

They're just right imo - altho they do have a clear crystal in the end of each tie - which I wasn't keen on but tbh you cannot see them at all. Comfy and soft..:)

Under no circumstances buy these

www.frenchsole.com/product_info2.php?collection_banner=searchbar&shoe_id=ST144&list_exists=1

I was desperate for some good quality leopard print ballerinas and spent a lot on these.they aren't leather lined (for the price I wd expect that) as a result stretch and have worn really badly.wd love to know where you end up.have you tried Boden, usually good quality.also just bought lovely leather lined red ones from Zalando which were cheaper and fab.

Moltisanti · 14/02/2012 14:11

Drywhiteplease- I have a pair of leopard French Soles (India style, not square toe) and I was actually coming on this thread to say how geat they are. I have had them since 2009 and worn them to absolute death, and they still look brand new.

These ones

I would even go so far as to say that they are my fave shoes of all time. I also have the same style in black patent leather and they are also worn to death.

cardoon · 14/02/2012 16:06

Those are the same ones I linked to Moltisanti - if I don't get on with the Aldo ones they are my next choice. How did the sizing rules work for you?

OP posts:
MABS · 14/02/2012 16:49

mine are Russell and Bromley, love em :)

Moltisanti · 14/02/2012 20:19

Oh sorry OP missed your link! I always size up in their India style. I am normally a 3 but I get a 4 in those and they're perfect. You can also tighten them a little using the bow on the front. Be gentle tho!

gregssausageroll · 14/02/2012 21:48

There are some on next by divina McCall. I have 2 pairs n

MogTheForgetfulCat · 14/02/2012 22:10

Duo

I've got some like this from Duo.

cardoon · 15/02/2012 07:15

Would you describe your feet as wide Molti? I think mine are kind of verging on it so would need to size up too, but that always makes me a bit nervous. Smile

Who sells Davina shoes gregs?

Mmm, those Duo ones are quite nice and simple and a bit different in the dark colouring. Are they true to size?

OP posts:
MrsPresley · 15/02/2012 07:30

Cardoon

You can get the Davina Fit Shoes frome Next, don't know what they are like though but look nice.

Davina shoes

cardoon · 15/02/2012 07:49

oops, sorry gregs!

They do look nice MrsPresley, but they're not leather, which I would prefer.

OP posts:
drywhiteplease · 15/02/2012 18:03

Oh maybe it's me then.Sad

cardoon · 15/02/2012 21:14

mrsmartin said she had some nice suede ones - I wonder if she's about.............

OP posts:
OatcakeCravings · 16/02/2012 10:16

I've tried the Davina shoes - they are rubbish! Uncomfortable and cheap!

cardoon · 16/02/2012 10:32

Good to know oatcake

Aldo pair have arrived and they are indeed lovely - but my right foot slips out a bit, left foot perfect.............what to do?

OP posts:
noddyholder · 16/02/2012 10:33

They are so useful but you do need a decent pair

cardoon · 16/02/2012 10:36

Show me yours noddy

OP posts:
noddyholder · 16/02/2012 10:40

Mine are years old russell and bromley not sure the current ones are the same. They were about £50. I really like the french sole ones with the red trim

cardoon · 16/02/2012 10:53

I love them too - in a more neutral trim -I'm just not sure about sizing up..........

Not near a R&B - why, oh why, no mail order.

OP posts:
cardoon · 16/02/2012 11:09

Can't decide about the Aldo ones so have ordered the FS to compare!
