Got some lovely new boobs today and totally free of charge

I went shopping for a new bra today and ending up getting properly fitted for the first time in many, many years.

Background: I've always had a small chest but after kids they ended up small and empty. I've been seriously considering a boob job, but wasn't sure if I could really go through with it.

Anyway I hate the dreaded bra shopping, but desperately needed some that aren't grey and saggy. I thought I was a 36AA, but lady measured me up and said I am in fact a 32B!!!! So home I come with nice new bras that FIT and give me a (admittedly still small) but nice pert, tidy shape.

I know it is just a number, but I honestly feel so much better about my boobs now. I just wanted to share and urge you to go for a proper fitting if, like me, it has been a while.

I thought you might have mispelled 'boots' in your thread title Grin - sorry!

V pleased for you. Truly, I am.
Although I my problem is that I feel better when I am told the size is smaller than my usual boulder-holder...

Enjoy your new, pert boobage Envy.

ShineYourButtonsWithBrasso · 12/02/2012 21:09

Where did you get you fitting done?

Daffodilly · 12/02/2012 21:30

Ha, free boots would be pretty good too!

Shine, I was in M&S. Lady was very helpful and nice about it all. I never like to go as feel almost a bit of a fraud for even wearing a bra. But now that I am a 32B I feel quite legit!

It's a great feeling isn't it.

I get measured last year after years and years of wearing the wrong size. It's been a revelation. My clothes fit better, lots of people have asked if I have lost weight and I think my posture is better.

I was measured in Selfidges - the fitter was brilliant. She brought me dozens of different styles to try and was really helpful at explaining which ones she thought were best for me.

There was no pressure to buy and she was lovely.

I went to my independent local bra shop today on the back of your success and have gone down two back sizes and up two cup sizes! Only trouble is it cost me £86 in new bras!

Pudden · 13/02/2012 13:50

I must get measured properly; mine give me four bosoms!

Moodykat · 13/02/2012 16:29

Do it! I'm amazed at the difference!
it was only one bra! Don't tell DH!

bigpants103 · 13/02/2012 21:41

M & S also doing the free £5 voucher for lingerie when you have a bra fitting. I was measured yesterday and was shocked at what size they measured me as. She bought me lots of bras in my size and they were all too big. I actually ended up buying the sizei was wearing when I went in so not sure how good the measuring service is!!

TIDDLYMUM · 13/02/2012 23:23

M and S not great for bra measuring IMHO- kept trying to shove me into 32/24 DD in the days when they didn't really do much above that cup size in a small back. Bravissimo measured me as a 28F !!! Now I am a bit fatter I am a 30E.

The larger cup size/small back sizes at M and S are very much on small side- not true to size at all.

HazleNutt · 14/02/2012 07:08

Pudden you definitely need a bigger cup. But do not, and I repeat, do not got to M&S. They still believe in the "add 4 inches" measuring theory and you will end up in a wildly wrong size.

Pudden · 14/02/2012 08:01

am off shopping at weekend and there are a couple of proper lingerie shops staffed by mature well upholstered ladies so will try there. Can't stand the thought of some 18 yr old sneering at me back fat and hairy nips :o
