My hair is a jaw length bob, and it needs livening up a bit. Would the mn haircut work on hair this length?

what on earth is the MN haircut?

RobinSparkles · 12/02/2012 18:47

I think that it has to be long enough to pull into a ponytail at the front of your head.

HouseOfGrittyBits · 12/02/2012 18:56

i've done it by putting it in bunches before (just behind the ears, more toward the back of the head so you get the shorter layers at the back). The results were okay, but my hair is curly and quite forgiving of mistakes. I wouldn't swear to it as a foolproof method!

Or when it's long enough, I've done it by doing a ponytail high up at the back. Again, by doing this you get shorter layers at the back than the front.

Just work out where you want the longer and shorter layers, and go from there.

Its one length and I was thinking it would add layers to it. The top half is long enough to make a front ponytail!

I did it when my hair was sitting on my shoulders - slightly longer than yours I know - but it worked well. I did 2 ponytails - 1 at the front and one near the middle. While it was like that I got DH to trim the bits left at the back. Then I did the haircut!

MeltedChocolate · 13/02/2012 09:54

I do it on my long hair. I wouldn't do it on short hair. I don't think it would look right for some reason. It would be harder to get fixed if it went wrong if nothing else.

ok, I've done it. the fringe isnt great (I think it'll look better once its been washed) but it looks much better already!
