I find I put on gloss/ lippy when I do my make up ... But never render to reapply and the glosss wipes off after 10 seconds of me talking/ eating/ drinking etc!
Anyone recomend a lippy that has some staying power for under gloss...
I m pale and fair skinned blonde hair
Tend to wear pinks/ neutrals/ coral
Have never found a red that suites me, but happy to try for a recommendation.

If I put gloss on top of a lipstick I seal the lippy with lipcote and then when it's dried I slick lipgloss over the top.

Where do you reckon I d get that - chemist ? Does it make your lips feel very coated ? I tried shelac (benefit) before and didn't like it on top of lipstick.

It's £2.60 on eBay, I find it quite dry on top of lipstick but the gloss remedies that.

Most supermarkets that have a beauty section or chemists will sell it too :)

I find lipcote too drying but I don't wear gloss - I'm much more of a lippy fan. I find that nude lip pencil all over the lip keeps my lippy on. I also use the benefit lip tints with a balm if I want an 'off duty' look - that lasts all day and doesn't transfer onto DH! (again - another reason I don't like glossy - kissing with gloss on is just yucky!!)

mrsm - sound like you re doing a Lorra kissing! Grin lucky you!
Funny dh isn't a fan of either gloss or lippy. Got the Lipcote but found it v dry and not comfy.
Wonder if I should just consider lipstick that's highly pigmented ? Is there a difference between brands ? Anyone recomend one - I have 1-2 bobbi brown ones but they DEFINATELY don't stay put long. That's it really as mostly wear gloss.
Might go for a trawl in local dept store at weekend.

If you live in London, check out the Hourglass range in Liberty. They do a lip stain called Aura which comes in 3 or 4 colours, one of which is a really nice natural pink flush and there is a nice peachy/corally shimmer one too. They go on really nice and evenly and last for ages, even under lip balm or gloss.

Max Factor do these lipstick felt tip pens and they last really well. They are super matt (my preference) so I don't know how they would last with a gloss on top.

Great will check them out thanks x

Rimmel I think are doing the pen things too

Maybelline Superstay 24 hour works for me. I wouldn't say it goes anywhere near 24 hours but it stays on for 8 hours at work and stands up to eating, swigging tea etc.

Barry M do a lip crayon. It is a bit sparkly which gives the impression of gloss. You'd either love it or hate it.
