I am being interviewed for a part time assistant job in a high street clothing store. I was thinking smart black trousers(boring??) and then got stuck please please please give me some ideas, also I have some mink patent wedged shoes that I may/may not wear with the trousers. Oh yes and do I wear a piece of statement jewellery? The assistants wear the clothing from the store as a uniform.

When I interviewed for a major fast fashion store I wore:

1st interview - tailored hareen trousers in black with plain vest, grey blazer, long statement necklace and killer heels.

2nd interview - floral chiffon plazzo trousers, long sleeved tshirt and cropped jacket with a straw trilby.

I got offered the job (turned it down for something better) - I say dress in the same style as the assistants but make sure you feel comfortable - just don't wear denim.
