Trilogy Rosehip oil vs Aromatherapy Associates Nourishing Face oil

Hello,

I'm thinking of trying a facial oil at night and am trying to decide between the two above. Have tried a friend's AA and it was really nice, but the Trilogy one seems to get rave reviews and is considerably cheaper! Does anyone have a preference?

TIA

Trilogy is known as magic here. I love the trilogy stuff, it's gorgeous, lasts for ages and works wonders.

they're 2 different things - trilogy is pure rosehip oil, the AA one is a mix of various oils (jojoba, peach and evening primrose) with essential oils for scent.

i would suggest you find which oil suits your skin first - if you want to go for rosehip there is no need to buy the trilogy one though, you can just get organic cold pressed, any brand is fine, fushi is very good actually and much cheaper.

I wrote a whole piece on face oils: www.yumetcetera.com/2011/03/nourish-me.html

maybe get some samples of a few and see which you like best?

I have the trilogy rosehip oil and think it's fantastic. I wouldn't use a scented one, even if scented with essential oils because my skin reacts very easily.

Didn't know there were other rosehip oils around though, thanks for the
info Missfoodie.

I used Neal's Yard rosehip seed oil after suffering acne scarring on my face.

I used it for 3 months and the scarring was definitely improved. I stopped using it because it was starting to give me spots, would it still be effective some 18 months later do you think or should I get another bottle to get rid of the remaining scarring?

I use the Neal's Yard Rose Facial Oil. Love it.

Another vote here for Neal's Yard Rosehip Oil, but to clarify, it's not the same as the Neal's Yard Rose Facial Oil. It's great value at only about £14 I think and is great for scarring and lovely on the face. The Rose oil is about £20 and is specifically a facial oil and does smell of roses. Rosehip has a more woody/herbal kind of smell.
Helennn I think the NY Rosehip does deteriorate after about a year. Fine to use on your hands/feet etc but wouldn't probably use on your face now.

OK Dingdong, will replenish supplies! Don't know why i've left it this long actually considering how good it was.
