What sort of clothes do girls wear with lace up style shoes?

DD (9) has been begging me for a pair of lace up shoes and I have managed to get these in the Next sale for the bargain price of £7.50 but I have no idea what she would wear them with - skinny jeans? skirts? leggings? Any ideas?

DD has a similar style for school and wears them with her (skinny) trousers.
