Beauty Flash Balm or alternative?

Please advise me oh wise ones. I have using a sample sized Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. It will run out shortly and as it has really pepped up my dull winter skin I was going to buy a big tube of it.

My question is whether it is the best of it's kind or would I be better trying something else? I wear Clinique Mineral Powder Foundation if that makes any difference? Thank you!

I've only tried one or two equivalent products, but I much prefer BFB to either of them - I also find most primer type products give me spots, which it doesn't.

Thank you Hopefully. I think that I will go for it.

I would stick with the BFB. It's been one of my staple beauty products for years, and I haven't found anything better, personally.

I use BFB and like it. I did use recently the Clinique product that is supposed to hide uneven skin tone, and that was brilliant under make-up too.

The original (and for me) still the best. Don't use it on a daily basis though, just when I really need it.

Ah yes. The Clinique one, I saw it advertised. If BFB works well for me there's no point risking a different product. Decision made. Thank you!

I've used BFB for years, best on market imo.

I like Superdrug Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream, think its £1.49 for a 50ml tube, gets good reviews and is touted as an alternative to the Clarins.

HillyWallaby · 10/02/2012 18:47

What does BFB actually do then? Wassit for?

battherat · 10/02/2012 20:27

It's a cream that you smear on your face, don't rub in properly and then put make up on top.

I tried it when I was younger and thought it was the emperor's new clothes. Then retried it recently and realised that it really does make my older, duller skin look more dewy and radiant.

That said, whilst it helps, it doesn't produce miracles. However, anything is a relative improvement for me.
