Natural looking lippy,not nudes?

According to my dd I wear brown lippy and should be using a more pink colour. She may only be 12 but I think she might have a point. I tend to go for nudes that have a browny tone so I'd like to change to something more like a pink lip colour but natural iyswim not Barbie-ish.

Any favs?

Try Bobbi Brown, they do a nice moisturising one and matched me up to one that looks gopping in the tube, would never have even tried it, but is v flattering on!

I have No7 Ultimate Volume Lip Gloss in Barely Pink and it is lovely, like the colour of my lips but more intense. I just blot it a bit with my finger so it's not too glossy. Like you I used to wear browny nudes but find this much more flattering.

My fave is Clinique's Sweet Honey. Very natural, pinky orangeish and moisturising.

RamblingRosa · 09/02/2012 11:26

I second Bobbi Brown. They do a huge range of very natural lipsticks for all different skin tones. Best to go to a counter and try lots on and get the salesperson to advise.

I think there's also a new L'Oreal lipstick that looks like a clear, bright pink gloss but it actually adjusts to your natural colour and is meant to give a natural tint to all lip tones. Might be worth a go?

Lipstick Queen Berry in Saint version. Best MLBB shade for me, browny and pinky at the same time. Fades to stain evenly

YY to Bobbi brown, her whole philosophy is "you but better" type of beauty so its the perfect place to find a "your lips but better" lippy

otchayaniye · 09/02/2012 12:51

Bobbi Brown Slopes is good. But on the whole I find her lipsticks go off really quickly. Within 6 months and smell nasty

Gillybobs · 09/02/2012 12:53

Thats odd, I have several BB lippys that are a couple of years old and they are fine.

otchayaniye · 09/02/2012 13:20

ah, maybe a problem in the tropics

hatcam · 09/02/2012 13:31

How do you really know if lipstick has gone off? I was looking at my rather old bb lipsticks yesterday - all more than 2 years old (?!) and they don't smell rank, they just smell quite strong if you see what I mean!

futterbingers · 09/02/2012 13:31

I second clique sweet honey . I just bought it this morning and have been wearing for a few hours. Its lasted through lunch and is very natural.

Clinique colour surge butter shine lipstick in pink goddess is my go-to natural pink and it's lovely and moisturising.

Housewife2010 · 09/02/2012 22:43

Clinique Black Honey - fantastic

PastGrace · 09/02/2012 22:49

Soap and Glory Marvelips is fab - it's a pencil, not a lipstick, but I find no difference in stay power. It's helpful because if I need a new one I don't have to get to a certain make up counter.

But if you are going to make up counters, another vote for Bobbi Brown.

Bobbi Brown new (ish) Lip Colours are great. Lovely strong shades from pretty pink to deep berry and red. I have had mine since the summer. I have binned othersin my collection as the BB is just "right" on me. It lifts my face.

Levantine · 10/02/2012 11:55
