Hello Ladies,

in the past few years that I've lived in London I have only used Philip Kingsley because my mother in law suggests it--and I have to say I'm very happy with it; I do feel that after using it my hair is in fantastic condition.

However, times are a bit tough (son has expensive therapies) and I feel guilty for spending this much on my hair.

I've looked on QVC and places but I just cannot continue with these prices.

My question is, is there anything out there of similar quality and less in price? I have thick coarse hair; but with PK it looks silky and shiny.

Switch to a normal shampoo/conditioner and keep using elasticizer. Not too sure about which shampoo etc though - I use richard ward but I don't think it is any cheaper. To be fair, the elasticizer is so good I think you can probably get away with using any shampoo/conditioner. I know it is still expensive but if you can stretch to it the 1 litre size of elasticizer is on 2 easy pays atm - still a first payment of about £32 and then a second of £27 but my hair is half way down my back and a litre lasts me about 9 months using it once a week and leaving it in over night.

ok, this seems a reasonable idea.
