pixie cut

google images of Carey Mulligan when she had it done - looked lovely.

eek! how long is it? how short does she want it?some nice styles here but i would go to a very good hairdresser for such a drastic change! she is very brave!
my dd is 14 and still has waist length hair which she gets cut at the mark hill salon.

I absolutely love short hair on little girls, its just too darn cute. I would stick with pixie though.

If you Google MIA farrow pixie you'll get some gorgeous images.

Her hair is currently a poker straight bob...

She wears tops bought from the 'boy' section of shops and has wanted short hair for a while.

My dd has just had hers cut short, she has it like Frankie from the Saturday's. She also wear boys clothes and was desperate to have her hair cut. It was a bit of a shock but it really suits her now. We went for quite short the firs time and then very short the next. I'll see if I can upload some pictures.

SocialButterfly · 07/02/2012 20:54

I can't seem to upload but I can email them to you if you are interested x

I like Frankie from the Saturdays.. not sure if it would require to much styling though?

I'd do an Emma Watson. I love short hair, I have been trying to convince my dd for ages....

SocialButterfly · 07/02/2012 21:03

None! Lol as long as its cut regularly, she just brushes it, if she has a cow lick I flatten it with the straighteners. I think it depends in hair type though, she has thick straight hair.

Forrestgump · 07/02/2012 21:08

High five to your daughter op!! I've also been trying to pursuade my eldest daughter to get hers cut since she was 7! I just don't do the long haired daughter thing at all.

raspberryroop · 07/02/2012 21:42

My DD7 has her fine blond hair in a very short forward angled bob with the back graduated (shaved in to her neck) she calls it boys hair at the back girls hair at the front. Very chic to be honest and easy as we just blow dry it forward .

chocolatespiders · 08/02/2012 20:29

tomorrow is the night of the appointment and no final decision has been made by dd yet- we have some ideas and will discuss with the hairdresser.
Thanks all
