Why do you wear make up?

I'm curious.
Everyday I put on my make up more or less first thing.
1- I feel that I look better with it. (True or not I don't know, dh does'nt think so Hmm ).
2- I don't feel awake/able to function until its on.
3- I feel more grown up

I have friends who wear make up some days and not others, who can take it or leave it. I couldn't do that!
The only time it stays off is if I'm ill.

I wear make up because I love applying it - it is lot's of fun being able to contour and highlight and brighten certain areas. I wear alot of make up but it doesn't look like it (I've just counted and I use primer, 3 different concealers, 2 shades of foundation, blush, 2 mascaras, 2 brow powders, a brow pencil, eyeliner, a highlighter and a lip stain as my blank canvas - though I use the eyeliner on my inner upper eyeline to make my lashes thicker, not all the way around). I wish I had gone down the make up artist route - I never tire of it.

I love makeup.

I think I look better and I'd have to be close to death to forego it. I do a very light coverage foundation (the new Lancôme Teint Miracle), Clarins blush, a lot of brown mascara with liner to the top lashes. Bobbi Brown lips.

Without it, I look ill. I have good skin and features and being pale and blond, those features disappear without my "face" on.

I used to be a never step outside of the bathroom without a full face on girl, then I moved to Dubai in their summer ( 50 degree heat) and everything slid off so i concentrated on getting really good skincare so i didn't need a mask and now it's winter and cooled to a more palatable 25 degrees I can't be bothered

On nights out I'll put on some mascara and maybe a touch of cream blush but that's about it.

A tan also helps though....
