Do you resemble your DH/DP ex ?

Hadn't really thought my DH had a'type' . Friends did comment on how alike his ex and I are. I can't see it myself but her children have mistaken me for her.

Do men go for a type ?

I don't resemble my XH's current partner. However, she does slightly resemble his ex

My DH's ex was the total opposite of me...she was blonde with short hair and quite conservative in her dress...I am brunette with long hair..and more outre in my style.

Not in the slightest. She's a dainty blonde with pale blue eyes and dresses pretty conservatively. I'm a (dyed) redhead with green eyes, hourglass figure and live in bright dresses and skyscraper heels.

DP iscurrently scouring farcebook to do a comparison, but he thinks not.

DP is definitely nothing like any of my exes. He's the first one who's been shorter than me, and the first one of non-caucasian origin

He's also the first one to show me a decent level of respect which is why he's allowed to stay

No, not at all - she was short, blonde, very fair with pale eyes and rather unsocial.

I am tall, brunette, dark eyes, olive-y skin and, um, very gregarious!

He is definitely my type physically, though - tall, dark and handsome.

I guess there were similarities when we first met, not just in looks though. We're both short and petite (well, I'm not anymore but I was a size 10 once ). Both of us are academic. It's hard to tell whether we dressed alike cos I met dh at 21 and we were both students and his ex was also a student (though at a different uni) so I think we all had fairly student-ish style. She's blonde and I'm brunette but I don't think he ever had a particular type - I used to think he went for blondes more but now I don't think he does.

OTOH if I compare myself to her now...
Me: 14-16, likes to sit around quilting and watching tv, 2 kids and knackered
Her: Size 8 (best guess), runs marathons

Not DH. But friends point out that all my past boyfriends, and DH, look the same. I suppose they have a point! All my partners have been 6ft plus tall, skinny, short darkish hair and possibly verging on the geeky (I love a geek!!) in the way they dress. Oddly, the 4 men that I had 'serious' relationships with had a birthday in January - sppoky

Dh doesn't look anything like my ex. Or any of my other previous boyfriends. I don't think I have a "type".

However, his first girlfriend FB'd him, and she looks quite alot like me
