Can anyone help me style this outfit? Dress, shoes, bag and hat - check, but want jacket

Hi,
I started by buying this jacket

clothing/jackets +-+ coats/ - ABBEE JACKET FROM TED BAKER

Then I bought this dress (btw, Dotty p has really upped its game this year IMO)

and blossom&pageSize=20 Dotty P Navy dress

However my husband dislikes the jacket. Now, I know that as an independent MN'er I shouldn't care, but I do. I want him to think I look nice when we get a weekend together at a wedding.

He has also vetoed a stripy jacket.

I am wearing Nude Sledge's and a nude hat neither of which I am changing. If I can't have the ted baker jacket I want something small and fitted ala Kate and Pip.

My most recent idea is coral/orange....

Help I need a jacket!

I also think the dress could be worn without a jacket, maybe just a pashmina?

If it's not a summer wedding, and you need more of a coat than a jacket then this would look fabulous over the top

I have a lovely little cropped faux fur jacket that would look nice with that dress.

Would really like the stripy ponti one at DPs but DH thinks I own too many stripy things. Well, my daughters teacher did comment once on how many stripy tops I wear...... he might be right!

nice orange hobbs jacket, but 5 times the price of the h&m, so go for the h&m!

I agree d Perkins designs the season are lovely.

I've seen some lovely orange/coral bits in new look (I'm doing that colour accessories for SIL's wedding).

I also picked up a corsage/hair accessory in that colour with a black trim in wallis (sorry no link as on iPhone) for £7!

Phew I'm glad coral is still in this year as I have bought a coral dress to wear to a couple of weddings this year.

As in I bought it last year in the sales.

OOOH, thanks everyone, loving the coral and orange thing and it is nice to hear that I am not completely out of the fashion loop after the DCs!

Nomoreminibreaks - will check out the accessories. I have a very Kate hat - perches on my forehead with netting and is tres glam and the nude shoes (which DH insists on calling beige...) so a little coral accessory might be just the job!
