silver highlights.Not intentional

My hairdresser has given me silvery highlights-I only have highlights every five months or so,I just let them grow out the rest of the time as my hair is fine and fragile and starts to snap.I usually have a few blonder ones at the front and then some more mid blonde through the rest, with a beigey champagney toner on top of it all. Anyway this time she changed the colour for some reason, and has put what looks like silver streaks, and gold streaks,so I have a very stripey zebra crossing parting and I look as though I have a lot of grey.(I don't have any bar about five hairs, and at 48 I don't want to add any).
I called her the next morning .She suggested I was with cheap shampoo and then come back in but both DDs have had hideous tummy bugs and so i haven't gone in.She's due to have a baby in a couple of weeks and isn't really in the salon now,and she's also really nice, so I don't want to stress out a hugely pregnant woman even if my hair is silver. Anything I can put on at home that will dampen down the silver without turning me orange or wrecking my hair?

Nope ...go back and get the salon to fix it .

I was thinking that would be the response, but as she is the salon owner I would need to go through her and I just feel mean when she could be about to pop at any moment. I have washed and washed it and DH thinks it is looking less silver. I used to use something when I had bleached hair, years ago,it was a toner type thing in a beige box and it came in lots of colours but I can't see it in the chemists any more and can't remember what it was called....arghhh.

Touch of silver, it's the shampoo that all the bleached blonde haired girls in my work use to atip it going silvery. They seem to swear by it

I thought touch of sliver was to stop it going brassy? I have the opposite problem so need to put something peachy or champagney on top.

wish I could remember what the bloomin' stuff was that I used to use.I can picture the box but not the name.It was quite like the harmony colours for brown hair, but just for blones or white hair. It was a little tube, and lasted about 6 washes-anyone here own a chemist's shop?

do not use touch of silver it will make it more silver
its for blondes grey and white hair to remove brassy tone

you need a warm colour (no ash blondes) a caramel sort or honey to go over the silver highlights
