Help - Do I need a different hair style?

I have name changed and posted some pictures on my profile. I've pretty much had the same haircut (or a slightly longer or shorter version of) for the last 12 years or so. I've tried a couple of slightly shorter styles but they haven't suited and I've always gone back to the same.

I would love a haircut like this but I have a round face and I don't know that it would suit.

I also have thick fuzzy hair that I have to BBH or straighten.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Best to leave as is?

Looks like too much hard work to me. Your hair looks lovely in your pics and agree re beautiful complexion. My hair is thick and I always used to have to HHS or bbh - then I tried Moroccanoil and def more manageable and can wear it au naturel but for a bit of taming.

HHS ghd!

Thanks SittingBull and musttidyup - both for the feedback and compliments Grin.

I didn't really think of it from a maintenance point of view, although you raise a very valid point and I don't think I will do what it takes. I had it trimmed a week ago and I felt a little bored with it. I might try a long/swept fringe to do something a bit different, thank you.

And definitely going to try Moroccan oil - I would love not to have to ghd/bbh it every time to wear it out!

I love that site. Clicking around, it struck me that styling your existing hair like this might suit, wouldn't take too much effort and might be just enough to change the look of it.

No don't do it with the hair

Your hair is lovely as it is,frames your face and it's classic.

The hair you linked to would be hard work,my hair was like yours and last year I decided to cut it all off for a less classic more trendy hardwork style and I am still regretting it now whilst growing it all out,too much hard work.

Just have a few more layers if you want but Kandy above linked to a lovely style that you could do,just don't cut it off you look lovely :o

Thank you both :). Kandy, I do like that link and will give it a go to try something different.

Quiet, every time I have cut it I've regretted it and grown it back as is so deep down I know you're right. I might try a fringe or maybe more layers next time, just got a feeling of immense boredom after coming back from the hairdresser last week and looking no different.
