What's the best foundation you've found or know about that gives the most cover?

Most people would probably say Estee Lauder Double Wear, but I'm going to say Vichy Dermablend, which you can buy in Boots for about £16. The Estee Lauder maximum coverage one is supposed to be good too.

Which is the lightest of Vichy Quinn? Nude?

MeltedChocolate · 02/02/2012 22:14

and is the stick OK to use over your whole face?

QuinnFabray · 02/02/2012 23:41

I think Opal is lighter than Nude. They might do a lighter one (ivory?) but Opal was the lightest one when I bought it, and it's pretty light. It comes in two versions. A cream in a tube, and the stick version. I've used both, and yes the stick is fine to use all over your face as a foundation, buffed in well with a dense stippling brush, or fingers. The one in the tube spreads better I suppose, but I find the stick easier to work with. You only need a tiny amount. If I'm not using it as a foundation, I do use it as a concealer. Lisa Eldridge really rates it, in her make up for acne cover up video.

LilyLolo by a country mile. It's like BareEscentuals but half the price and better. Samples are £1.29.

headfairy · 03/02/2012 12:14

another Lilylolo fan here, not only looks great and gives fab coverage, but actually improves the quality of your skin. I never ever have any kind of spots or break outs now, I used to almost every month using other foundations.

ElizaDooFuckAll · 03/02/2012 12:18

Hands up here for the double wear. It covers my spots, evens out my redness, doesn't dry up my dry patches or moisten up my oily areas. Worth every penny and lasts ages.

DarcieandSkysmum · 03/02/2012 12:20

I like Benefit foundation - it covers what you need it too and doesn't dry your skin out :)
