babies' clothes sizes have changed!

Not really style and beauty, but didn't know where else to post this.

My baby is average centile and quite well-proportioned, though I say so myself. The new clothes we buy are so much smaller than same-size-label hand-me-downs - particularly from Next amd Mothercare. She's bursting out of new babygroes ad tops, when the same size from 4 years ago have oodles of space.

Has the baby template changed for clothes manufacturers?

I find the clothes smaller too.

How strange!

I think it depends where you get it from. Next clothes seem quite big on my DS and he is a big boy. However someone got him a top from BHS and it is already too small.

It's all madness really.
Dd is 9mo but big. She wears 9-12 usually with some 12-18. But nursery sent her home in one of their spare tops. Aged 3-4yo!!! And apart from long sleeves (all her tops are too long in sleeve) it was fine! Shock
