Do you like this laptop bag?

This one.

I'm looking for a non-grey non-black non-IT-looking messenger-style laptop bag.

My laptop is only 13 inches so the bag can be fairly small but I want it to be quite deep if possible so that it can also hold plenty of other things.

I don't, it's way too bright and dotty IMO. But I don't tend to like loud colourful prints.

valiumredhead · 01/02/2012 17:00

No but it doesn't matter if I like it, do YOU?

SoupDragon · 01/02/2012 17:01

Too loud for me.

OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 17:01

I quite like it, but I believe there is probably something better out there.

It seems to be hard to find something that is in-between grey-and-institutional and bright-and-wacky.

There are some nice leather ones if you google. Not that I have, given that I"m not in the market for one oh no no no.

OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 17:12

This one slightly less garish

OP posts:
OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 17:14

Oh dear God not this one

OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 17:15

I want a casual-looking one. Not leather. When I am being smart I put my laptop in a sleeve inside a super-giant handbag.

Karbea · 01/02/2012 17:15

Is it for you or your teenage daughter?

OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 17:16

:o

I don't have a teenage daughter. I am under 30 if that helps, but personally I think people should be able to carry "young-looking" bags no matter what age they are if they like them.

i like funky looking laptop bag..but not that one.
This one is nice.
this one specially made for 13".
i love this print
crumpler is nice as well.

SoupDragon · 01/02/2012 17:51

Holy crap that Boden one is shockingly bad!

SoupDragon · 01/02/2012 17:56

BTW when I said leather, I meant battered leather messenger type bags. Nothing smart :)

Almondroca · 01/02/2012 18:01

Oilily do some with some similar kinds of prints you may like.

yellowraincoat · 01/02/2012 18:03

how about this

OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 18:22

Thanks for the suggestions.

snowybaby yours are mostly a bit Cath Kidston-y. The Crumpler one is supposed to be for a MacBook Air so I doubt it will fit my laptop (13inch but quite fat)

OK, I see what you mean about non-smart leather, but it's still not what I want.

OP posts:
OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 18:39

OK then, ignore what I've shown you, what would you get if you wanted a casual not-looking-like-a-laptop-bag messenger-style laptop bag?

OP posts:
OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 18:40

I think the bag I first showed you may have been a red herring and now you think I want garish or cutesey prints.

OP posts:
shrinkingnora · 01/02/2012 19:23

Big variety here

OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 19:29

Thanks - those are really in-depth reviews! Love the purple leather handbag one even though it is the complete opposite of what I am looking for right now (and is $$$)

OP posts:
shrinkingnora · 01/02/2012 19:44

I googled nice laptop bag Wink

OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 19:47

:o

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 01/02/2012 20:00

Out of interest - why does it need to be a laptop bag? If, on your "smart" days, you put it in a sleeve in an ordinary bag, why not do the same on not-so-smart days?

OnlyANinja · 01/02/2012 20:09

Because I don't want to have to faff about with multiple layers.

And because it's (in theory at least) not so hard a task to find a messenger-style laptop bag as it is to find for a "looks like a handbag" laptop bag, as there are a lot more of them about.

If you've seen any messenger-style not-laptop bags I'll look at them too :)
