Nice elasticated-waist skirts?

Is this a contradiction?!

I am having a baby at the end of April. I seem to remember from last time that finding clothes for the post-baby period is a bit of an arse, what with the 'not really knowing what size you are' thing. So I thought that elasticated waisted skirts might be the solution (dresses not really the thing for breastfeeding, after all). But are there any that aren't horrible and aren't as expensive as this one: chintiandparker.com/product/CP194BSNCMU/Breton+Skirt

?!?

have a look at Ted Baker

They are doing lots of elastic waist skirts at the mo. I have just got the first one on the page - I am a size 10 but ordered the biggest size (size 4) and it falls to just above the knee due to the elastic waist.

You like?

This in French Connection sale?

Flowerface · 31/01/2012 19:59

Ooh, I do like the TB, but it's perhaps a little dressy for a person with a social life as tragic (and child-based) as mine!

Like the French Connection a lot.

No way - stick it on with opaque tights and bright coloured pumps - I will also be wearing it with leggings in summer and flip flops so no fake tan required!

I have this Debenhams skirt, not that I'm post-partum just a fatty, it's the comfiest thing ever, looks great with thick tights and boots, I wish they did more of them.

I have a couple from Oasis that are dead comfy.

H&M had a few when I went in last week, some lovely print ones and some plain coloured ones. Quite reasonable too.

Flowerface · 01/02/2012 11:07

I have bought the Debenhams one!

Kettlewell colours have both longer and shorter skirts. They were my early maternity and post maternity wardrobe staples lovely colours too

Minis in raspberry and grey here reduced at Aubin and Wills

Flowerface · 02/02/2012 11:35

Debenhams skirt arrived today and is just what I wanted. It might even fit now, under bump... I like the Aubin and Wills, and had never heard of them, so that is an exciting new discovery!
