MAC's Omega, or Coquette Eyeshadow - depending on how light or dark you want them. Omega is great for blonde to light brown, and Coquette for light to mid brown. Apply with their #266 Brush. They will show you how to do it if you're unsure.

Get yourself a HD Brows palette - you get 4 shades and a double sided mini brush. You should always use 2 colours in your brows to stop them looking fake and flat. The HD colours last 24hours - I go swimming in mine and they don't shift - and the colours double up as eye shadows and eye liners (so value for money too!)

Just remember to brush your eyebrows up and then across the top line before applying colour - it will give the perfect line - and then start from the highest point of the arch and work to the tail end; you can always go back and fill in gaps but if you start at the inner corner and work to the end you may apply too much too soon.

Also, don't waste money on special brow waxes or fixers - I use a small amount of hair serum on the back of my hand, dip the eyebrow brush in the serum and sweep over brows to keep them in place and give a healthy shine.

I get compliments on my brows all of the time (and the secret is I only have half an eyebrow on the left side!!!)

I was going to post this exact same message! Freaky.

I've been reading about HD brows, but don't want to look strange like those Scouse brows or whatever they're called.

Mrsmartin, where did you get your palette from?

Gillybobs · 30/01/2012 19:47

I tint mine at home using "30 day mascara" (its suitable for brows too). I use the brown colour so its not scary dark but the difference is amazing. Do it about once a month so a pack lasts for about a year and costs maybe £12??

I've been trained in HD Brows but haven't got the hang of threading yet. I did my training before the palettes came out. It's good to hear they are good. I might try one.

Was also going to recommend HD brows or Senna brow palettes (although Senna can be difficult to find).

As mrsmartin said use 2 colours for a more natural look. A good general rule to go by as well is eyebrows should be 2 shades darker than hair colour for blondes and 2 shades lighter for brunettes.

Get a angled brush to apply the colour and an eyebrow grooming brush to comb the colour through for a natural finish.

I had HD brows done the other day and I have to say I'm really happy with them. She tinted my eyelashes at the same time, I went to the gym after and even though I was a sweaty mess with no make up I looked strangely polished.

I got my palette in my glossybox one month - I'd been desperate to try it so I was really chuffed as I got 4 other products in the box as well (inc a full size loreal mythic oil) for £10 +£3p&p. The palettes are £20 and you can buy them on nouveaubeautygroup.com

I got my palette in September and you can barely tell I've used it - I will definately buy one at full price when I need to but I think I'll get to at least the end of the summer, if not close to September!!

Also, if you aren't sure about colours etc - they do 4 different palettes - just email them at nouveaubeauty, I've found them to give really great customer service.

Thanks for those ladies a Hd brow place has opened in town so will pop in and check prices.

I've Seen the 60 day mascara/ brow thing but worry I'd make a mess with it.

I didn't really like the HD Brow palette I got in my glossybox. The colours were all wrong for me (can't be arsed to mix them, when other brow kits do a shade that matches ) and they didn't seem that great quality for the price, quite powdery. Thought the packaging was cheap too.

I now have the GOSH brow kit, which I got in Superdrug for about £7, and I really love it. The shadows suit me better ( there are three ) and it comes with a brow gel too. Also great packaging.

Sometimes I just use a MAC brown eyeshadow, which also works great.

Browzing from Benefit is excellent!

I had mine tatooed on as they were a bit scrappy.

They look fab now Grin
