Bought these in the sale, not sure what to wear them with, or if they're stylish or not.

sorry I don't like them. Look a bit dated to me. If I had to them I would wear them with v skinny jeans or a just above knee skirt.

yellowraincoat · 28/01/2012 22:37

They're ok, but don't look nice with anything except a mini skirt and I think you have to be confident of having nice legs to pull that off.

Good price though.

planetpotty · 28/01/2012 22:41

Good price Grin but remember a bargain is only a bargain if you need them Wink ahh who am I kidding were talking shoes!!

They're not my taste and if you have the pins to carry these off I think you should be looking at some of the brown riding boot styles.

They say "Nancy" to me.

AgnesBligg · 28/01/2012 22:45

Not my cup of tea really. I can imagine them going well with most length skirts, in a dated retro way, if not actually stylish way. Skinny jeans with those boots would be gip I think.

AgnesBligg · 28/01/2012 22:46

As long as 'eee neeeds meeee

LauraMercier · 28/01/2012 22:47

Hmmm, ok. I have brown riding boots and black biker boots already but I wanted something a little smarter looking. I always feel really causual in my others, but I think the price was the main reason for purchasing. Not sure they will actully go with anything I have.

I thought since that style of shoe boot seems to be everywhere, slightly cropped (well not cropped but those shorter style trousers that are also everywhere) might work, plus maybe a full skirt - but now not sure, and I don't own either of those anyway, and I'm broke. I think I'll return them.
Thanks!

Thank god for S&B, I'm a disaster left to my own devices.

AgnesBligg · 28/01/2012 22:56

Are you a can can dancer?

FaffTastic · 29/01/2012 01:01

Am a boot lover but don't like this, sorry. Please don't wear with skinny jeans - would look really tacky with this type of boot.

AgeingFop · 29/01/2012 18:31

Just showed them to my DW and she loved them! (She's robably reaching for the debit card as I type....)

gregssausageroll · 29/01/2012 18:44

they are a bit mary poppins for me. sorry.

dawneg · 29/01/2012 20:16

I think they're a really nice boot, if that's your style. They aren't trendy but they are different and appear well-made. Wear them with skinnies (must be dark) and a soft slouchy sweater or vest and thigh length cardi. I could't carry them off tho, but if ur a quirky dresser and have 'the look' for them, go for it! (I reckon u'll return them, tho!)

MrsBovary · 29/01/2012 21:13

I think they look 'worse' somehow being over-the-knee, a little shorter might have made them more tolerable.

Agree, better with skirts if you do keep them.

AgeingFop · 30/01/2012 09:23

Are they actually over-knee? Can't see how this would work with the tab thing at the top. They look more knee-high. A shame they don't show the boots on someone's legs.

I love these 'tell me what you think of...' threads.

It's win-win.
