I was near Brick Lane today and noticed them setting up for the sale. The merchandise looked nice. Coats seemed the best bargain at 45 pounds; dresses were 40. I didn't get to go in as the sale started at 3:30 today and I had the school run.

Hope this helps someone.

Went today - some good bargains to be had among the faulty goods some of which had no obvious fault besides being returned a bit crumpled from a customer (others were quite faulty broken zipper; tears etc.) Prices for those items much lower -- dresses 15; tee shirts 5, knits 10. I purchased a nice wool open cardigan that falls almost to my knees and a nice stripy tee shirt.

I went on Friday, some of the things were in fact more expensive there than in the sale, so you have to be careful. I wanted a dress at £40 but it was £30 on their sale website. I got 2 cardigans for £20 each (one was £33.10 on their website so was chuffed with my saving) and 3 cardigans for £5 each. The guy who served me looked new and nervous and I think he accidentally put them through as tshirts! I didnt notice what he charged me as a whole load of new stock had just arrived and the place was suddenly swamped with women going mental, they were pulling off things and unwrapping them before the staff had a chance to get the rails into the shop! Some of the faulty clothes had big holes that could be fixed but would be noticeable, the cardis I got had very small pulls on them that you wouldn't even notice.

I agree must be careful about the prices many items were more expensive than the price they were labeled. For example dresses that cost a £100 with tags saying 70% off that they were charging £40 for which is more than it was on in a retail sales floor where you could return it.

I was happy got this cardigan www.hobbs.co.uk/index.cfm?page=1017&productid=0211-9503-2674K00&productvarid=0211-9503-2674K00-DONEGAL%20MELANGE-M&refpage=1132

for £10 as it was an internet return and had dust on it, no pulls.

And this tee shirt www.hobbs.co.uk/index.cfm?page=1017&productid=0211-9421-1056T00&productvarid=0211-9421-1056T00-CHALK%20MULTI-S&refpage=1137

for £5 but the bottom hem is a bit lose.
